New details have emerged about Kyle Marisa Roth’s sudden passing.
Nearly five months after the TikToker, known for her blind item gossip content, died at the age of 36, her autopsy has ruled the manner of her death as natural, Maryland's Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to E! News Aug. 20. Meanwhile, per the examiner, the cause of her death has been determined to be cardiac arrhythmia due to myocardial fibrosis.
The ailment is an irregular heartbeat caused by a buildup of heart muscle scarring, or a form of heart disease, according to the National Library of Medicine.
Additionally, TMZ, citing Kyle’s toxicology results, reported that she tested positive for Diphenhydramine, or Benadryl, and the pain reliever Mitragynine at the time of her death.
Kyle’s sister Lindsay Roth initially confirmed her death to fans on social media in April, citing confusion among the family pertaining to how she had died.
“As a family we are still processing and deciding how to properly celebrate and honor her life,” she wrote in an April 15 Instagram post. “We don’t know [what] happened yet.”
Later, Lindsay specifically asked for fans to stop sending messages to Kyle’s family—which also includes her parents Jacqueline Roth and Robert Roth—asking how Kyle had passed.
“I understand people want answers, yet some of the comments are extremely upsetting to read,” she wrote in an April 22 Instagram post. “We are waiting to hear back from an autopsy just like everyone else in the world. Please be kind.”
Still, Lindsay understood Kyle’s wide reach, and the social media star’s sister touched on Kyle's online legacy.
“I know she touched so many people with her humor, intelligence, beauty, gossip activism, athleticism and more—she had so many gifts,” she recalled in a separate April 15 post. “I am so sorry to those learning about this loss right now. Any prayers thoughts blessings or intentions for this souls smooth transition are welcomed.”
Kyle received an outpour of support from fans below Lindsay’s post, including from social media star Julia Fox.
“I know I never met Kyle in real life, but I really felt like I knew her,” the 34-year-old wrote in the comments. “I’m so devastated and have been crying ever since the news leaked on TikTok. I really hope she did it suffer and I hope she knew how much she touched our lives. She was a ray of sunshine and I will miss her deeply.”
