Beyoncé fans were in for a pleasant surprise when she appeared in Brazil during a Renaissance Film event.
The superstar's acclaimed concert movie, "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" premiered in Brazil Dec. 21. To commemorate its debut, Beyoncé popped up at a special event dubbed the "Club Renaissance" party, which took place after a screening in the city of Salvador.
At the event, which was held a convention center, Beyoncé greeted fans and made her way through the crowd as she took the stage. She stunned in a sequined dress, wearing silver from head to toe.
In a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the singer said, "It was very important for me to be here...the Renaissance is about freedom. It's about beauty, joy, resilience, everything that you are about. And I'm so honored to be here and so happy to see your beautiful faces".
In another video she can be heard saying, "I came because I love you so much."
At one point, Beyoncé attempted to do the mute challenge, however it appeared fans were too excited to properly freeze and go silent as the song "Energy" suggests.
Prior to the event, fans speculated the singer might be stopping in Brazil. Queen Bey teased social media users by resharing a photo on her story of a silver horse peeking out of a jet without any caption. She later changed her bio to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
After the event wrapped, Bey and her publicist Yvette Noel-Schure later shared multiple photos on social media. Noel-Schure captioned the post, "Move out the way when the queen touches down in Bahia, Brazil!!"
It was this week Beyonce told fans her Renaissance film would be expanding to Brazil and 14 other countries.
Bey attended the U.S. premiere of "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" in Los Angeles on Nov. 25, before appearing at the London premiere on Nov 30.
